After school Mahj: Ages 8-18

Everything your student needs to learn is already right here at the studio. Students will be supplied with an age appropriate "card" of hands to use during play.

All fees include complimentary water. Snacks are available for purchase.

Elementary School Mahj:
6 Class Series Ages 8-11

Learn how to play mah jongg. Over 6 weekly 45 minute classes, we will teach our students using age appropriate activities how to play American mah jongg using a simplified card and rules. Students will learn the tiles, flow of the game and how to build a hand. Skills developed include pattern recognition, logical decision-making, and sportsmanship. Classes limited to 8 participants.

All supplies provided at the studio.

Middle School Mahj:
5 Class Series Ages 11-14

Learn how to play mah jongg. Over 5 weekly 1 hour classes, we will teach our students using age appropriate activities how to play American mah jongg using a simplified card and rules. Students will learn the tiles, flow of the game and how to build a hand. Skills developed include pattern recognition, logical decision-making, and sportsmanship. Classes limited to 8 participants.

High School Mahj:
4 Class Series Ages 14-18

Learn how to play mah jongg. Over 4 weekly 1.5 hour classes, we will teach our students how to play American mah jongg. This is the same adult class, spread over 4 classes to better work in a high school student's schedule. Classes limited to 12 participants.

All supplies provided at the studio. Students will have the option to purchase an NMJL card to play outside of the studio or at open and guided play sessions.

Mahj and More Mini Session

Looking for a program for your student during school breaks, such as teacher's convention (November 5 & 6, 2026)? Two (2) day, 3 hour sessions. Program includes one (1) hour of mah jongg instruction and play, in addition to other games and activities. Limited to 16 participants. All supplies provided.
