Beginner Mah Jongg: 3 Class Series
This three (3) class series will familiarize anyone new to the game of American Mah Jongg with all of the basics to begin to play including: tile recognition, how to read the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card, game set-up, the charleston deal and general rules. Choose one of three series offered monthly. Please bring your own 2026 NMJL card or let us know if you will purchase one on site. Classes limited to 12 individuals per session $150
Beginner Intensive: 1 day boot camp
"Learn to play in just 1 day": Our 3-class series rolled into one day. Includes (1) 2026 NMJL card, continental breakfast and catered lunch. Skills taught include: • Tile counts and recognition • Game set up and charleston • How to read the NMJL card • Rules of play • Guided play session $275
Refresher Class
Know how to play but need a quick refresher....register to stay for open play and receive a $10 discount on your next open play.
Open Play (Supervised)
Tired of hosting? House a mess? You want to play but can't get your group together? Come alone or bring your friends. Must have previous mah jongg knowledge. Includes a mini lesson (no guided play). Includes complementary water, coffee, tea and light refreshments. $25 per individual or $80 for a group of 4. Space is limited.
Guided Play
Guided play is perfect for those who have attended either the beginner class series, one day intensive, or are already familiar with the mechanics of play but would like to sharpen their skills with the assist of a seasoned player/instructor. Deepen your understanding of tile passing decisions and building your hand. Please bring your own 2026 NMJL card or let us know if you will purchase one on site. Space is limited to 4 individuals per session.
